Why Trustmyloc exists
A story of lost notebooks, fading memories, and the belief that trust can work differently.
There are plenty of reasons today to track time at a specific address — whether for odd jobs, part-time work at home, or handyman and gardening tasks.
The problem we set out to solve
Most of this work is paid by the hour. And tracking it sometimes causes friction. The employer disputes the log, or the worker struggles to get credit for every hour actually worked. And then there's forgetfulness: as time passes, schedules get hazy and doubt sets in.
That's how Trustmyloc came about: to provide a fair, automatic system so that tracking hours is no longer a source of conflict between employer and worker. A neutral source everyone can rely on.
What we believe
People often cry “surveillance” the moment location comes up. We believe the opposite. Used well, location can be a tool for trust rather than control.
The app cares about nothing but arrivals and departures at the addresses you've explicitly set. No route trail, no map of journeys, no storage of in-between locations. Trustmyloc does one thing, and does it well.
Three non-negotiable principles
Privacy first
No location data is kept beyond entries and exits at your addresses. Where you go is none of our business.
Radical simplicity
No 50-tab dashboard. No misleading tiered pricing. One useful feature, done right, at a fair price.
A right to be forgotten that works
Delete an account or an address? The associated history disappears immediately. Here, “permanently” actually means permanently.
Who we built it for
For households that pay a worker by the hour: nanny, housekeeper, gardener, tutor, senior caregiver… Those who want an accurate record for their household employees without feeling like they're spying on the person who comes to work in their home.
And for small businesses too: contractors, tradespeople, job-site managers. Those who need reliable records to bill their work without forcing their crews into tedious daily check-ins.
In both cases, the promise is the same: a neutral, automatic, respectful referee. So the question of hours worked never causes tension again.
What's next?
The app keeps improving, guided by its users. Bilingual English / French since 2026, localized push notifications, a refreshed design… and always the same philosophy: do one thing, and do it well.
